Plex randomly transcode the video

Hi, I noticed that PLEX will randomly transcode videos. Just stopping/resuming playback will fix it.
I first noticed this happening on my friend’s Samsung TV and thought it was specific to his TV but today I noticed that the same problem happens on the FireTV stick connected to a different TV/different network as well. I’ve seen the problem with many different files (encodes or untouched remux/web-dl), it seems random. If I turn off the transcoding in the server settings, then plex will sometimes and randomly complain “this server is not powerful enough blablabla”

This is with Remote streaming. I don’t think I ever noticed this issue with local playback.

So no one has this issue?? I find it hard to believe since it’s happening on multiple devices with different files.

EDIT: since this thread got locked, I just want to say that the problem is WORSE than ever with the latest versions. Now sometimes instead of at least converting in the same resolution as the input it converts to 720p and the quality is horrible. Something is definitely wrong in the way PLEX detects what device supports what. Firestick TV seems to be worse and it never happens on LG TV.
