Plex Media Server Logs_2024-06-03_21-47-37.zip (174.9 KB)
Verbose logging is off and I’ve provided the basic Debug logs.
I’ve been a Plex fan and Pass member since 2013 when I built my first Plex server. In recent years, I’ve experienced persistent issues with my remote streaming that I can’t seem to resolve. All of my server content is 1080p, formatted in h264, and my hardware is significantly overpowered for this task—I can even run large language models on it. My internet connection is robust, with 1 Gbps download and 35 Mbps upload speeds.
To address the problem, I’ve replaced all network equipment in my house with expensive and powerful alternatives. I’ve also had my ISP come to my home and run a brand new drop from the street, install a new line into my house, and replace amplifiers. Despite these efforts, my internet connection remains solid for all other network-related activities, yet my Plex remote streaming remains inconsistent.
The streaming works perfectly at times, but often it buffers without explanation. I only share my Plex server with my girlfriend, and usually, it’s just the two of us trying to use the “Watch Together” feature when we’re apart. Recently, I conducted a test while the streaming issues were occurring and have attached the logs from that test.
I’m at a loss as to why I can’t achieve consistent remote streaming with Plex and would greatly appreciate any help or insights you can provide.
