Plex remote connections buffering

Hi, I have been using Plex for a long time. But for the last few months since I updated the server many times I have been experiencing buffering even on remote fibre connections. At the beginning this never happened, so I can only assume that it is due to these updates to the media server that have changed things. My server is rather powerful, new grade cpu, lots of ram, Nas drives, good motherboard, Linux build.

Has anyone else been having issues with remote buffering, the local connections are instant with 0 buffering. It is only the remote connections which I can see heavy buffering, some days you will get only some buffering or none, but most days it will be constant buffers.

Unfortunately, that’s not enough information:

  1. Verify DEBUG logging on, VERBOSE logging off.
    2 Start playback, play until it fails twice
  2. Stop Playback
  3. Download the logs (Settings - Server - Troubleshooting - Download Logs)
  4. Hover over the item you played -> click the ellipsis -> Get Info -> View XML
  5. From that XML display, I need to see the section which shows the video, audio, and any included subtitles.
  6. Please paste all that into your reply
