Plex player on Roku just got an update and it really sucks. How do you make it go back to the previous version?

The Plex update for Roku is one of the worst GUIs that I have ever seen. I want to be able to revert back to the old one. I’ll dump Plex if the keep the new GUI.

Try this. It’s from the Roku forum. Credit to RokuMaryEF over there. Worked for me.

  1. Go to: Settings > System > Advanced System Settings

  2. Select: Control by mobile apps

  3. Change “Network Access” to “Enabled”

A good update would not leave the users frustrated and confused. There are so many changes that this is a completely new interface (that sucks). The old one was easy to use and navigate. The new one is not.
