PLEX scanner fails to retrieve data - parsing errors

Server Version#: 1.13.5.5332
Player Version#: 3.57.1
PMS has been scanning for days trying to update my music library. I’ve recently updated (as the version suggests), stopped and started the server. Rebooted my computer (Windows 7). Nothing has helped. I’ve scanned the logs and see that the scanner is getting a lot of errors. This sequence is repeated thousands of times:
ERROR - Error issuing curl_easy_perform(handle): 28
DEBUG - HTTP simulating 408 after curl timeout
ERROR - Error parsing content.
ERROR - Error parsing XML.
I’ll attach the log files.
Prior to this update, all my music (3375 CDs) was displaying properly. A refresh of meta-data has wiped it out. It plays, but the majority of the artist images and CD images are gone!
Please help.

Plex Media Server Logs_2018-09-01_13-14-58.zip (7.7 MB)

Please disable ‘verbose’ logging and leave only ‘debug’ logging active.
Your logs are flooded with verbose chatter so that they each only cover 5 minutes. That is almost useless.

Please disable ‘IPv6’ support under
Settings - Server - Network - ‘Show Advanced’
if you have it activated.

Ok - verbose logging disabled. IPv6 was not enabled.

Meanwhile, I’ve deleted the music library and created a new one and started adding only a few CDs at a time. Scanning stops and indicates meta-data is up to date, but the artist/album artwork is never updated. I say never, I really mean after a very long wait.

I have now, added my original folder to the library and waiting to see the results.

When this has run for a while, I’ll capture the logs and send them

Chuck

Ok. After deleting the library and creating a new one, I tested with a small CD collection. I then added the FULL collection (3375 CDs). This morning all was well. Scanning had stopped and 90% of the artwork (artist and CD) was updated. The other 10% are likely not available via lastfm.
You may close this issue.
Thanks
Chuck
