My users are complaining about the view and struggling with finding content. Plex generates unneeded, messy and confusing views. For example in my Movies library, the Discover page shows “Top Movies by Duncan Jones” , " Recently watched", “Top Unwatched”, " Top Movies in Comedie". I don’t want any of these views. What I want when I click on the movies library is Browse by year as the default view, showing movies that are newest by release date in the top.
In the Win 10 app I can click Movies, click Browse and sort by Release date and this view is remembered so next time I click on Movies im instantly where I want to be. That’s good but I don’t want to herrass my users with this instruction. Using the Smart TV app I don’t think this is even possible
The Discover page for my TV Shows library is even worse. The Recently aired TV is a big mess, showing the poster of a TV show for every episode that has recently been added for every TV show. Ending up in a seemly random pile of TV show posters.
So the poll is: Plex server admins should be able to configure default views for clients.
