Yep. That was it. I had never even seen that “cyber security” section in the CenturyLink router setup, but disabling it made the problem go away. Thanks for your help.

Does your ISP have any kind of advanced security settings on your account? If so, try disabling them.

This post mentions Verizon FiOS and CenturyLink. Might apply to other ISPs as well.
