Server Version#: 1.28.1.6104
Player Version#: Plex Web 4.84.1
Hey all,
I’ve noticed a number of crashes with Plex on my system over a few months and I’ve just now found a specific film that when played crashes my Plex Server every. single. time. =[ Other media files play without issue but there are likely other films that are causing my intermittent crashes that I’ll need to track down. Note that for the film in question that I can play the file in VLC without issues and I can also play it on Emby Media Server without problems so the file itself works. Now that I’ve finally got a file that’s causing the crash, I was hoping someone here could help me understand what about this file is causing the problem.
I tried pulling the crash logs by following this support article: Crash Logs: Plex Media Server | Plex Support but it doesn’t generate any crash logs in any of the locations. The only clue I have is that in my Plex Crash Uploader.log file it says the below:
Aug 28, 2022 11:57:58.180 [8928] INFO - Successfully reported ff6f4657-66cc-48ea-80be-f9ddf93dcc8d
Aug 28, 2022 11:57:58.181 [8928] ERROR - Too many crashdumps detected / retries disallowed!
Any ideas on what could be causing this?
