Plex server disappearing

Hi Guys

i had a recent event where my machine crashed, so as a result i reloaded the OS ( windows 10 ) and started a fresh install of things

When i loaded up plex, i recalled ( from previous installations ) my old server would hang around, so i went into

settings → authorised devices …and removed the name of my server…i recalled a messaged saying the server would need to be re added and ignored that.

anyway from that point i have been unable to add a server of my own or do anything other than view the shared servers from my friends.

Today i decided to reformat and start again… the only difference is i can see the server in authorised devices BUT, i cannot seem to list it in the menu or add media at all

can anyone help !!!

Make sure to use a web browser with disabled add-ins and preferably a “privacy/incognito” browser window, to make sure that old cookies in your browser don’t interfere.
(it can’t hurt to delete browser data and cookies from plex.tv beforehand)
