over the weekend my account was taken over. I was able to get it back and remove the server they had setup and of course reset a bunch of passwords. But my problem now is i cannot see to add my plex server back to my own account. I have unistalled the server and reinstalled but that doesn’t seem to want to add it to my media. Any help would be greatly appreciated so i can get back to plex.
If you signed out the server, you need to reclaim it. To do that you need to access it through the bundled version of Plex Web from within the same network.
If you’re on the same machine… open http://127.0.0.1:32400/web in your browser. If the server is on a different machine inside your home network, open http://[PMS IP address]:32400/web instead.
There you should be able to re-link the server to your account under Settings > [Server Name] > General.
You’re looking at
Settings > Plex Web > General
You need to look at
Settings > [Server Name] > General
If there’s no such option you’re potentially not inside the same subnet as your server.
