Plex server doesn't recognize contents of mounted external HD

Ubuntu 18.04

Trying to set up plex server on my ubuntu machine and while install and load runs successfully, plex doesn’t recognize my media directories.

Image attached, attempting to add a Library within the plex server account page, I’m able to drill down to /media/chris, but plex doesn’t recognize either of the media subdirectories present.

Any ideas what might be causing this?

Thanks, Chuck…had previously mounted the drive via the fstab, but apparently since commented it out but had forgotten and was just getting mounted automatically at startup. Able to see contents after adding a mount entry for an external drive now. Many thanks!
