There is something strange going on. I’ll try to explain… it’s for both movies and shows.
Shows: there are files on my NAS drive, correctly in the folder structure I use, that don’t get picked up by Plex. Some a whole season folder, other certain episodes from a season.
Movies: I saw with my own eyes that some movies display on the player on my Apple TV. While I was investigating the shows issue, I noticed that some of those movies had a red trashcan. I emptied the trash and the movies were gone. But the files remain on my NAS drive.
Something has changed for Plex that it cannot see the files anymore. But what? I have no idea where to start looking. I checked that Plex (system user on NAS) has read/write acces to the root folders of movies, shows and music. I can play content that is both visible as files and in Plex server.
