So lately my plex server has been acting strange. Periodically it would crash and I would see on the dashboard that it is “unable load statistics” under the bandwith, cpu, ram, play history and etc. Then eveuntally I would get a “server settings are unavailable”. I would exit and hard close the server, reboot my computer and launch the server again. After booting up and starting the server again, everything would look fine. But then when I play a movie on my TV or anywhere else, the movie would play fine but under the server dashboard, it would show nothing playing. Eventually the server will crash again and I will the above issues ending with server settings are unavailable.
I would then uninstall plex server and reinstall it. Then run it again, and the same issues will return eventually. This is getting quite frustrating as even after and uninstall and reinstall, the problem persists. Can someone offer me any help please?
NOTE: The odd thing is while this is happening on the server end, I’m still able to play a movie on say my TV via Shield TV or any other client around house for a short bit, but it just doesn’t register under the dashboard as anything playing.
