Something strange is happening with my library update process. I can login and surf through my libraries successfully if “update library” is off but, if I try click on it in any library, the network connection starts to switch up and down. Here you have screenshot with the case:

Also, too many films/series are not getting cover art and picture metadata, in general. Metadata takes all the information except images. I tried different metadata setups but no luck. It never happened to me before with older plex server configs (this is a fresh install with 4-5 days of life, btw).
The server is running under Ubuntu server 16.04.4.
Could someone help me with this? I tried to find something similar but no luck searching through Google.

Edit: It occurs either plex.tv or local network access. “try it again” or “unsecure connection” option doesn’t work.
Edit2: I noticed in Settings/Server/Remote access, the green lock turns to red (that means remote access disabled) when the issue is happening, and suddenly it comes back to green.
Best would be as soon as you see the error & having started a scan of the library.
I suspect it’s only a database optimization/cleanup issue

Thank you for reply. Attached you can find some logs. I’ve downloaded all of them in the exact moment of Plex error so maybe you just need to check the last 1-2 mins

Hover over Libraries … expose the ellipsis , click it -> Optimize database
Make certain to enable it in Settings - Server - Scheduled Tasks
For future reference, Keep VERBOSE logging disabled unless requested

Sorry for VERBOSE mode on. I tried the Optimize database option but it didn’t work. Finally I’ve setup everything from scratch and now the network keeps up but covert art metadata is not working yet. It gets everything (movie/show name, air date, summary…) except cover art, header and background. I’ll re-scan all the library and come back to you with updates and new log files with VERBOSE off
Add one library section at a time. (be careful not to enable chapter thumbnails right now… gives you max performance this way)
After each section, Optimize the database
Repeat until all sections defined.

I did it and now films seems to work. It gets all metadata information, including images. However, TV shows keep getting all the info except images. Another strange thing is that all the library setup is to get metadata in spanish language but everything is downloading in english instead (english titles, english, summaries, english cover arts…)
PMS 1.13.2.5142 contains the final update for TheTVDB API change.
When it goes public, or if you get a PlexPass first, you will only need “Refresh All Metadata” to get all them loaded again
