Server Version#: 1.18.2.2058-e67a4e892
Player Version#:
I am running Plex Server on Windows NUC.
Every day when I try to access Plex (from Fire Stick 4K, Samsung Qled TV or Nvidia Shield 2019) I get the message Plex Server unavailable. I then have to login to the Plex Web app and click Retry - almost as if I have to wake up the Plex Server. The libraries then load, and I can then access Plex on any of the servers. All the players are on the same network as the Plex Server.
I have Plex set to run as a Windows service, and the NUC is always on. Is there some setting that I am missing?
Do you know if your server is restarting/crashing? I recently have the same problem on debian, server restarts giving the same behavior. Thought it was a RAM issue, but I have 2gb and the system is only using 1gb…
The NUC (mini - pc) is not restarting or crashing.
This only happens overnight. I thought there is some setting that shuts down Plex Server software if it there is no activity after some hours, or some setting that requires the Plex Web app to continue running, which means I need to leave Chrome running on the NUC.
