Plex Server not resuming movies when viewer turns off or switches to other device

Since last 2 versions of Plex Server for Linux, I can’t resume my movies if I do the following:

I run my Plex server in a Linux box at home, and play it in my laptop, my tablets and my FireTVs sticks. If I watch a movie, pause it and then try to go to another device and resume from there, or if I pause it, close the app (or turn off the device I was watching it) and then turn it back on and try to resume, the movie will always start from the beginning.

Again, this started since 2 or 3 Plex Server versions ago, it was never happening to me. Any ideas why this can be happening?

Any response on this? This is very annoying and has also been happening to me for the past couple versions…

why do you pause rather than stop it?

when you go to new device is the app already open? does the item in question have the progress indicator showing the correct position on the poster/thumb
