Just bought monthly Plex Pass, started syncing music library, then suddenly got interrupted. Messages on the server itself now directing to below site, but no usable/executable instructions there as to how to really/actually install a “Windows Loopback Manager.” What the ??? Server was working, but now web interface won’t recognize server. Server app can only intermittently identify itself. No idea what to do! Five bucks wasted, I guess.
The Loopback Manager is only used when you install the Plex app from the Microsoft App Store.
I wouldn’t use it. It hasn’t been updated in over a year.
The other issue: there may be a problem with your router.
Depending on whether you want to use remote access to your server or not, there are 2 approaches you can take:
disable encrypted communication between Plex clients and Plex server
repair the router settings (if that is possible with your particular router)
