To anyone who is experiencing crashes for no apparent reason after updating: do you usually uninstall Plex in the DSM package manager before manually installing the new version? I never did the uninstall step, always installed Plex over the old version. The proper reinstall steps helped one user here, and also worked for me - no crashes since.
