Plex Server Transcoder runs havoc

Hello. I have a qnap with plex running. It has 32GB ram and I5-12400 with 6 cores and 12 threads. Also I have installed a Nvidia P1000 for transcoding in mind.

However up to this point I simply do not understand the plex transcoder and its choice for hardware.
One single connection right now is turning my nas into fire with the transcorder melting the cpu at its peak of 80% cpu usage even thought I told plex to use the gpu instead.

What are the fallback reason for plex to not use the assigned hardware for the transcorder and the possible reasons that it uses the cpu instead?

When this happened it only was one user that watched 4k that the transcoder coverted to 1080p.

hm the log says: Could not dynamically load CUDA.

I have tripple checked. The nvidia drivers are installed.

Apparently there was an issue with the driver. I was able to fix it by manually removing everything related to the driver and installing it back on.
Very weird that it just stopped working.
