In plex, it’s able to match show: plex://show/65b81d40f2db3471848c8ca3, which also has appropriate guid: tmdb://244797, but not one episodes are matched, all stay with provider local.
I’m using new Plex Series agent, episodes ordering has not been changed, using library default which seems to be TVDB, I’ve changed it to TMDB (as this show is not in tvdb) and how episodes metadata appeared. Thanks!
Altho I think plex should automatically try to adjust this (show missing in tvdb, but library ordering set to tvdb), like it changed language if I searched for different language.
other info I typed, but no longer relevant:
Language has been set to Estonian, but I filled recently English titles as well to episodes, so shouldn’t be language issue.
Files are named “Show Name S01E01 - Title.mp4”, i.e: “Kassid S01E01 - Homofoob.mp4”
It fetches metadata properly for SHOW, but nothing on individual EPISODES.
Also opening plex discovery URL for that plex guid, giving server error on plex.tv site could indicate the problem is on Plex side.
Yes. I meant that it’s the default for that library.
I can’t argue who set the value, because I don’t remember. However, plex server could improve on this, if match is made against tmdb, but ordering is tvdb (via library default) and media item has no tvdb, fall back to tmdb, i.e change the default and try again.
Anyway: The original problem is solved: I changed episodes order to TMDB and did another Fix Match.
