Every time I update Plex Media Server on my Windows 10 PC using the built in updater, it ‘unclaims’ the server and I have to reclaim it. It acts like the server is new and shows the ‘old’ one as unavailable, but it doesn’t need to update my library like installing Plex from a fresh install would do. Anyone else experience this? It has happened since the 1.8+ updates. Twice Plex had to redo my entire library because it actually acted like my computer is a brand new server. I haven’t updated any hardware on the server in 3 years, so new hardware is not the issue. I’ve updated Windows 10 as normal but the Plex updates don’t seem to coincide its problems after a Windows update.
I am also having this issue, and it is incredibly annoying.
