Server Version#: 1.14.0.5470
Player Version#: 3.83.1
I have a Mac Mini that has been running the Plex Server for over a year and approximately three months ago, there was an update available which I installed; however, ever since that install, the Mac Mini shows the Plex Server as “starting server” but NEVER completes the process. This restricts my access to the server settings.
I can still access my libraries from the web platform and also through my home network for my TiVo and Smart TVs; however, I can not update to a new version of Plex.
If I read some material correctly on the Plex Help site, if I delete the server from my Mac Mini, it will also delete my video and music collections. I need to know the following:
-
How do I get the Plex Server to actually boot up correctly?
 -
If I delete the current version on my Mac Mini, will it only delete the Plex Versions of my media OR will it delete the actual video and music files that are stored on my Mac Mini and external hard drive?
 -
Why in the hell doesn’t Plex actually have a technical support staff to contact like any other Media Company? Perhaps this is why I have NOT purchased a Plex Pass. I was satisfied with the TiVo Desktop Plus Server until Plex took over that platform and then wanted to charge a fee for using Plex after I had already purchased two TiVo Desktop Plus Upgrade Keys.
