When you go back to latest version, please also include LogMemoryUse setting - in case issue is to do with high memory use -
Issue is not solved Today alone 2 crashes (read Windows restarts) which i hadn’t in version 1.30.0.6486. Didn’t read @sa2000 comment so i didn’t have the LogMemoryUse and DebugLog turned on. I will do this later this weekend. I have the log files copied to another location but are they relevant with the options not enabled?
After enabling the extra logs I tought the crashes/windows restarts went away. But they are still there. Today at 1541 and 1557 (The times are noted after the pc restarted) so i secured the logs and uploaded them to my GDrive and send a link to @sa2000 to investigate further. Would love to hear back from you.
Thanks for the logs and the the saved System and Application Windows Event logs
The Plex Media Server logs do not show any memory usage issues with used memory by the process at 106Mb at 15:40:37 (system memory in use 8.6 Gb out of 15.4 Gb) and for the second crash the Plex Media Server process was using 58 Mb memory (system memory in use 9.9 Hb out of 15.4 Gb)
I have extracted a few event log entries from the SYSTEM event log - it is suggesting that there me be issues with bios timezone / windows power options
I have highlighted some in red text - picked a few
Some of these event entries are referenced in these two web pages which I founfd from a search
There is no evidence of Plex Media Server crashes on the 17th May but there is evidence of the machine going to sleep and that affects all networking
Also timezone discrepancy between bios and windows may be ?
This does not look right
The system time has changed to 2023-05-17T12:54:02.500000000Z from 2023-05-17T11:05:54.593081600Z.
Change Reason: System time synchronized with the hardware clock.
I would not recommend allowing the server to sleep
Information 17/05/2023 14:54:03 Power-Troubleshooter 1
The system has returned from a low power state.
Sleep Time: 2023-05-17T11:05:51.868413000Z
Wake Time: 2023-05-17T12:54:02.899896500Z
Could you look into these areas - and reset power options to default and then change so as not to go to sleep
- Power Options
- Real Time Clock / CMOS clock /

Is this a VM or actually running directly on the machine?
The only evidence of a Plex Media Server application crash was on the 16th May at 19:54 and I have sent you details of where the dmp file was saved
I will go and adress the found issues but this still doesn’t explain to me why i have no (restarting) issues when i am on PMS Version 1.30.0.6486. But i really appreciate you diving in
I have uploaded the requested dmp file to my g-drive and i am using PMS directly on the machine (but there is a VM running in the background). I don’t use sleep hower i do use hybernation. Hope the dmp file helps solving the issue.
Has everybody else had no issues anymore?
I think when the system does maintenance, it may shut off the server if there was a server update. Happened to me last night. Sometimes, you’ve got a movie loaded and if it is playing during maintanance, your local player will continue through the maintanence period. I set mine up at 1:00am. Other times, maybe maintenance starts at the tail end of a tv show, that’s when playback is halted for the next item. I just wait a few minutes, eventually the server comes back up. Very rarely have I had a server crash, I mean complete shutdown. Used to happen under windows 7 a lot. But not since I moved to win 10.
Just wanted to add that after disabling “Generate credits video markers” i have not seen any bluescreens anymore. Hope i didn’t jinx it with this comment but i wanted to let you know.
