Plex server with NAS and Android tv

Dear all,
I state that I have quite no experience with Plex (I have just installed PMS on my Windows PC and test it with chromecast dongle on tv to see how it works).
Now I would like to setup up a Plex system with a NAS (Synology 220+ with DSM7.x) and DVB-T2 decoder tv box running Android TV 10 with Chromecast built-in(Telesystem Up T2 4K or Strong Leap S1).
I am not sure which is the best way to install and configure PMS and client in this scenario.
I figured out at least three solutions(I am not sure all are feasible):

  1. PMS on NAS and Plex client on tv box
  2. PMS on tv box reading multimedia from NAS
  3. PMS on NAS playing media on tv box’s chromecast built-in

From usability point of view, I would like to manage play using my smartphone, can this be accomplished in solution 1)? how is usable plex client using (I suppose) just the tv box’s remote control?
In solution 2) may I control Plex Server to play directly on tv box’s HDMI output keeping the maximum quality?
In solution 3) I am not sure it is the best solution for quality reason’s .

May someone help me in choosing the best solution?
I hope I’ve been clear in explaining my desiderata and doubts…

Thank you Trumpy for your deep answer.
It is not clear to me why PMS cannot be installed on DVB-T2 receiver (not on television).
Let me explain better the topology of the appliances I have in my mind:

  • Television - used only as monitor getting signal from HDMI input
  • DVB-T2 terrestrial receiver running Android TV 10 connected to TV through HDMI cable and to network through cable
  • NAS Synology connected to network through cable
    (Windows PC is not in topology, it was only a test).

Since the DVB-T2 receiver runs Android 10, why installing PMS on it is not an option?
Maybe I am missing something.

Hi,
currently I have installed PMS on my PC and Plex client on tv box and it running correctly.
in the next weeks I will buy a NAS and I will change configuration replacing PC with the NAS and installing PMS on NAS.

Ciao, per il momento ho effettuato una configurazione temporanea usando il PC al posto del NAS che non ho ancora comprato, per cui PMS sul PC => Plex Client su telesystem UpT2 4K collegato HDMI con la tv e mi pare funzionare correttamente.
