Can someone help me . When playing back new content from plex on a andrpid phone it will show my chapters on the movie and skip end credit option.but not on my nvidia shield and its the same content . This is happening with alot of my content .What could be causing this im on the latest windows server and latest beta plex app on nvidia shield
The app on the shield is different than on mobile, so things won’t always be equal. That being said, the shield app should be able to show chapters and the skip credit button. Is the file being transcoded when using the shield? Possible the info is getting lost in the transcode.

To confirm, you side loaded the Android app that was released for Firesticks? There is no official beta for the Shield, yet.
No not sideloaded on Google play store app on shield it says beta
Yes, 2026.7.0 is a beta version currently, but that app, the new experience, hasn’t been released for Shield yet. It’s intended for Firesticks and mobile at this time. So maybe the functionality isn’t tested/intended to work on Shield.
I would go back to the public release and test if things work as expected.
What version is normal so i can google and get the app mate.
I don’t run Android, but the non new experience apps use the 10.x versioning…
For Nvidia Shield:
The current android-tv beta is 10.30.8, released in January: Plex for Android TV 10.30.8 beta was released in January: Release Announcements - Android TV beta - #729 by PlexAndroidReleaser.
The current public release is 10.30.6, released in October 2025. Release notes linked in @veeejay’s post.
Both have the “Plex classic” layout. The “new experience” app is being rolled out to FireTV devices. It has not yet been rolled out to other Android TV devices.
I’ve the current beta on my Shield and I do see skip credits and chapters. Not sure why they’re not appearing on your Shield.
