Plex Sonic Analysis Daily Updating

Hi, Daily plex runs Sonic Analysis, see attached image.

How do I find out why its doing this? I cant see any errors in the logs.
I asked on redit and they said either running out of space or DRM in tracks.

Its not running out of space. How do I find the tracks thats causing this?

Thanks
plex

Do you have library scans set to happen automatically? Sonic analysis should only trigger after a scan, it’s possible these are falsely firing due to some sort of filesystem weirdness.

Yes its set to Automatic, how do I track down the weirdness?
I deleted and recreated the library, but that didnt do anything.

Your server logs may contain hints, but I’d just turn off the automatic scanning, personally.

Ok, ill give that a go. Thanks

Which log file would contain the info im after?

The Server logs, but they may just say “we saw a change so we’re starting a scan” rather than the underlying reason why.

I found tons of these.
INFO - Library section 19 (Music) will be updated because of a change in “/music/Deetron/Ego Rave/album.nfo”

Should it be redoing Sonic Anaylsis for a changed .nfo file?

After every scan, it looks for albums which need sonic processing.

A scan is kicked off if anything changes in the library on disk.

So if you’re updating an NFO file (or any file on disk) these things will happen.

So tonight is the first time it hasnt done the scan, looks like it was Lidarr updating .nfo files.
Do you think updating these files shouldnt make plex do a Sonic update as the actual media files havent changed?
