Triaging Sonic Analysis problems?

I enabled Sonic Analysis on my main library a week or two ago. I saw the scan progress reported immediately, and then didn’t notice much of anything for the next days. Fast forward until now - sonic analysis specific features (e.g. sonic adventure) have still not appeared for this library. I’ve tried triggering a rescan via disabling and re-enabling sonic analysis for that library, and by turning off and on “as a scheduled task and when media is added”. Mostly recently after doing this, I see the following in my logs:

I see no errors, and this seems to indicate that all (or at least the vast majority) of the library has completed - I can only guess that it finished so fast because all of the files already had analysis data. However, I STILL don’t see any Sonic Analysis related features in this library.

Even more strange: I have another small library that I initially tested Sonic Analysis on - this library scanned just fine, and the sonic analysis features are working here IN SPITE OF THE FACT THAT I have since turned off sonic analysis for that library. What gives? How can I triage this problem? Any advice about what to search for in my logs? I’m not sure what else to do here to figure out what’s happening, or enable these features.

Sonic Analysis for Music | Plex Support

we should ask, do you fit within the parameters?
I can see you have a Plex Pass, but you didn’t list
you PlexAmp version and whatnot.

Yes, I have a Plex pass and current Plex amp versions on my phone, ipad, and desktop. And in any case, as I mentioned, ANOTHER library on the same account does have the analysis features enabled for all my plexamp clients - the problem is specific to only one of my libraries.

Incidentally, I tried deleting the analysis database files as suggested in a other thread - these seemed to regenerate almost immediately, and I still dont see analysis features unfortunately.

Even weirder:

For my library where sonic analysis WAS turned ON but is now turned OFF, I see features like “Sonic Adventure” (which I think is analysis based?), but I DONT see “Sonically Similar” for artists / albums.

For my library with sonic analysis turned ON, I don’t see “Sonic Adventure” etc, but I DO see “Sonically Similar” for artists / albums.

I’m very confused (or maybe just wrong about which features are associated with analysis?)

Understood. If you edit your first post and add a plexamp tag along with, I suggest, PlexAmp also in the title, you’ll find a number of experts all the way up to Elan will jump onto this thread because they’re subscribed and it’s their baby. I don’t want to wall of text this thread asking for a ton of debugging stuff in case it’s obvious to them, okay. I’ll assume you plex dance in testing, as you’re already into the database. There’s always manual scans when making test libraries, but I haven’t tried it for music + plexamp.

I have definitely done the Plex dance. I tried some manual scans, but didn’t see anything interesting there… Any in any case, it doesn’t LOOK like scanning is fundamentally the problem, as the logs show the scan working okay.

I’m very curious what the conditions are for the Sonic Analysis features to be displayed. I created a new “test” library and left Sonic Analysis off from the beginning. The Sonic Adventure tab here will let me pick things from other libraries, but when I create my mix it warns me that I have no analysis data and just queues up the two tracks.
