Plex soooooo slow

Hi

I’ve downloaded this file to my NAS:

I can play it in full 4K HDR on my LG OLED without lag or anything.

But when I try to play it on my Apple TV 4K from my i7 NUC (NUC7I7BNH) … well … forget it … not gonna play.

If I try to play it to Apple TV 4K from my MSI Nightblade monster gamin Pc - it says it is not fast enough. Wtf? My Pc can play the most advanced computer game, but it can’t play a 4K movie?

If I play same file with the Plex app on the LG (WebOS) then … no way it’s going to play. But if I play it with the cheap XPlay app on the tv, it plays fine.

Is Plex not capable to playing 4K video? Why do Plex fail when free/cheap alternatives works fine?

Sigh.

4k on ATV is only supported in m4v and MOV Container. Everything else has to be transcoded.

Think I will use Infuse for now until Plex is useable on Apple TV 4K.
