In der o.g. Konfiguration spielt die TV OS - Plex-App UHD/4K - Filme nicht ab.
Nach der Auswahl eines solchen Films erscheint für ca. 30 sec. ein schwarzer Bildschirm mit rotierendem “Lade-Stern”.
Dann wird noch das Interface zum Vor- & Zurückspulen angezeigt - aber im Folgenden bleibt der Bildschirm einfach nur schwarz.
Alle weiteren Plex-Client-Apps im Heimnetzwerk (auf macOS, iOS und auch auf dem Samsung-TV) geben umstandslos den gewählten Inhalt wieder.
Auch der VLC-Player, installiert auf dem Apple TV 4K gibt den gewählten Film wieder.
Einzig der Plex-Client für TV OS weigert sich.
Bei HD-Inhalten gibt es keine Probleme.

In the above configuration, the TV OS - Plex app does not play UHD/4K films.
After selecting such a film, a black screen with a rotating “loading star” appears for approx. 30 seconds.
The interface for fast-forwarding and rewinding is then displayed - but the screen then simply remains black.
All other Plex client apps in the home network (on macOS, iOS and also on the Samsung TV) play the selected content without any problems.
The VLC player installed on the Apple TV 4K also plays the selected film.
Only the Plex client for TV OS refuses to do so.
There are no problems with HD content.
