Plex splits literally every media file to Media 00xx files

I have a Plex Server on my Ubuntu 18.04 box. The movies are on a 3TB HDD which is not even 1 year old. I have about 280 movies and Plex recognized all movies but sometimes if I hit scan library, it starts to find media files like Media 0034, Media 0038 etc… As I can see the preview picture, 3 of them are the same movie and it downloads a totally different metadata. It looks weird when I can see strange movies on my TV with my family. I don’t really understand what is happening.

I tried to update Plex on my server, update Ubuntu but nothing. I have a newer update and I will install it later tonight but I don’t think it will solve my problem

After it finished scanning the library and it downloaded the metadata, I hit Scan Library again and it corrects itself.

It looks like this:

Non of these movies are downloaded.

Edit your library
go to the ‘Add Folders’ tab
look at which path(s) you pointed the Plex library

They should only point at folders with your media files.
They should not point to the Plex data folder.
Nor should they include folders where temporary files from any downloading/torrenting/unzipping/ripping procedures may (temporarily) be present.

It’s pointing to my movie files where my downloaded files are. There are my .mkv, .avi files.

Are you downloading directly into this folder?

Have you redirected the ‘Plex Transcoder temp folder’ to the same location perhaps?
(Settings - Server - Transcoder - ‘Show Advanced’)

Yes, I’m downloading directly to that folder.

I checked it and the temp folder is in the Movies folder, so that is the problem.

Thank you very much for your help! :))
