Plex status shows remote even on the same network

Hi guys
i would appreciate your help
i have plex on windows, connected to router which is connected to a router/modem from my ISP.
until now, plex worked fine on my home network. never worked on remote access due to double NAT which i never understood how to solve.
now, my plex stopped working suddenly in the home network. after hours of searching iv’e placed the modem/router in bridge mode, and now it works as REMOTE only even on the same network. I cant figure out why, tried to disable firewalls but didnt help. tried to forword ports but im not sure im doing it right because of the 2 routers (mine and the ISP).
i cant get rid of one of them because the ISP WIFI is garbage.
i’ve attached the server log.

appreciate your help. thanks .

With two routers in series, you very likely have a double NAT. That’s the very definition of it.
You have solved that by putting the first one of them into bridge mode.

Now you have to deal with the behaviour of the DNS server in your second router.
First, you have to understand that this is something which needs time to solve. Changes in DNS always need time to trickle down to your router and ultimately your clients as well.
So first thing is to restart your router.

Then wait a while, then stop and restart your Plex server.
Then restart your Plex client.

If after several hours the issue still persists, you need to look into the settings of your router.
Find out if it has a feature called “DNS rebinding protection”.
And if it does, how to define exceptions from this protection. You need to tell your router that it shall not extgend this protection to URLs which use the plex.direct domain name.

ill study your response and try it later, but i just want to point out that the server still claims DOUBLE NAT even after the router/modem was set to bridge mode. i dont know why

If it still claims that you have double-NAT, it may be possible that you originally had triple NAT. With the first being done by your ISP, called “carrier grade NAT” https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carrier-grade_NAT
Which would be very bad, because there is usually no way around it. Unless your ISP has a way to selectively disable it. All you can do is contact your ISP and ask.

But I’d definitely wait at least a day for things to settle after making the big change in your ISP-provided router.
