Plex sticks on P L E X splashscreen

Server Version#: plex-media-server-1.30.0.6486-1
Player Version#: Unknown, can’t get it to load

When accessing Plex via https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/, the “P L E X” splash-screen appears, but gets stuck, ie: The UI doesn’t appear.

Accessing Plex locally (http://192.168.1.11:32400/) works’ fine, although, occasionally the background (black) disappears and I have to F5 refresh and log back in.

Snippets from the Plex Media Server Log include (let me know if you want the full monty)

  • WARN - PublicAddressManager: WAN IP on router does not match public IP from plex.tv
  • WARN - Held transaction for too long (/data/jenkins/server/3523547358/Library/MetadataItem.cpp:4012): 0.120000 seconds
  • ERROR - [Req#98ce0] Unknown metadata type: folder

The Crash Uploader Log says:

  • INFO - Crash Uploader - Platform: Linux ServerUUID: <GUID REDACTED> UserId: <EMAIL>@googlemail.com Version: 1.30.1.6497-5fc2e0894
  • ERROR - Too many crashdumps detected / retries disallowed!

Even if there’s issues with your server setup, the web app should still load.
On what browser are you experiencing this?
Does the issue persist if you use a different browser or after disabling browser plug-ins / add-ons / extensions?

Hey,
I hadn’t actually checked. I’m using Chrome and it doesn’t work in Chrome Incognito (with no extensions).

It does however work in Firefox. I had a thought, so checked another machine and it works fine on that. This is a Work Laptop and they’ve started tightening screws, so it could be something is being restricted somewhere…

Thanks for responding.
