Plex stops playing audio after approx. 1 hour

I’ve been experiencing some trouble with Plex playback, specifically through an Alexa-enabled speaker pulling from a QNAP NAS.

I created a relaxation sounds playlist to help me sleep. It runs for about 8.5 hours and the 11 tracks are all either 30 or 60 minutes long. However, what I have found is that Plex stops playback after roughly 1 hour (or 1.5 hours, if tracks are shuffled and the first track is 30 minutes long).

I have also changed ID3 tags to make this an “album”, thinking perhaps the issue was tied to playlists…same result.

Is this a known issue? Is there a fix?
