Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this:
I gave the command to Alexa (echo 1st gen) to ask Plex to play my compilation album. No problem here, it was recognised and began to play just fine. I then gave the command to shuffle, again no problem, voice confirmation said turning on shuffle mode.
I then asked to “Stop playing in 2 hours”, and I got the voice confirmation: “Sleep timer set for 2 hours, starting from now”
However about 54 minutes into my listening, and in the middle of a song the echo just stopped playing.
I use the echo every night with amazon prime streaming and have never had this happen – it always continues for 2 hours. Could this be an Amazon error rather than Plex? I have looked at the Plex logs and there is no evidence of a crash though I noticed the last song to be played did only play about halfway through?
Am I being paranoid in thinking that maybe Amazon don’t really want people streaming from third party apps as they really want us on prime or music unlimited – could they be sneakily stopping third party app streaming early just to annoy us in the hope that we will revert back to Amazon streaming?
Maybe it’s just me but I NEVER had a problem streaming with Amazon.
