What are the chances Plex will launch a streaming tv service like Sling or Vue?

Personally I would never be surprised if Plex was to offer something like this. They have a ton of clients out in the wild. I doubt they would ever create their own but I could certainly see them “re-selling” someone else’s service like Sling, Vue, DirectTV, YouTbue TV, etc and delivering it in a similar manner as the new NEWS service.
I know I would do this in a heart beat if I were them and if I could negotiate with a company to bring their service to our clients and make a buck or two per customer every month.
Is this something Plex would actually do? No clue but it would not surprise if one day it was there. IPTV is getting more popular all the time and Plex already has streaming client so…
Carlo
I think it is zero chance. But, the possibility of one of those buying out Plex and then integrating into their environment instead of creating their own is probably closer to a possibility.
Personally, I would love it, if the different groups would just set a standard for a la carte streaming and allow us to use whatever interface we want. Kinda like we do not with NBC, TBS, TNT apps. We just provide proof that we are paying for the service and that is attached to my Plex Account and then Plex can just be the interface to the channels.
