What is already improved on “most clients” ?? The matter at hand? Where actors movie filter/search don’t cross between libraries?
Not what I was told, I was pretty explicitly told they needed to be a part of a premier account (which I infer is similar to plex home) or pay for premier themselves… So if this is the case, it makes Emby a more expensive platform than Plex, which is why I said “The Ford costs more and has fewer doors”.
Yes, you added no help or value re-read your post:
we’ll start with the first line “It’s one thing I have never really got my head around in Plex.” adds no value, or insight, just an observation.
Then: “It’s just so stupidly limiting” ← A complaint
And then finally: “the green variant of Plex happily pulls in Movies, Shows and for the more vocally talented actors/actresses their albums too.” ← a justification for your complaint
So “Sycophant” all you want man, you came in, complained, added no value or help, and compared to a competitor’s product for really no reason other than “You agree with the limiting factor.” That’s all fine and well, but it was also in direct reply to me, so, I chose to engage you in your discourse…
And now you’re drawing false equivalences. Plex Dance is neither a bug nor a feature, it’s a tool that one uses to correct a mismatch in the database that is stuck, and the fact it’s stuck is neither a bug nor a feature, it’s how their chosen database seems to work. Prove me otherwise…
You’re taking an analogy too literally. Though, I was told all users need to be a part of a premier plan in some way, so… It works as an analogy even if taken literally when speaking about the pricing… If it’s not that way, I’m happy to hear it, but that would mean they need to really work on their wording.
