I’d like to connect my android box hdmi out to plex server capture card hdmi input so it streams the android box output signal in my network and watch it live
We could connect gaming consoles, and other devices to be viewed live in the local network… HDCP, DRM is the least I’m asking to be implemented…
I think it’s an easy project for PLEX developers to add this feature, since the capture cards are like tuners and now PLEX has the ability to detect digital tuners.
Capture card could be useful - you could connect a cable or satellite set top box that you wouldn’t be able to use with Plex DVR otherwise. Of course, you’d have to figure out how to control it - maybe a USB IR blaster would do the trick.
[moderator edit] no discussion of circumventing copy protection in this fourm, please!

Colossus 2 has an IR input/output to control it, but the android box can be controlled from bluetooth remote… I’ll figure out the control later on, the main thing to support the cards.

No, I was referring to the fact that one would need to control the set top box.
Note to the moderator - the big “copy protection circumventing hack” I mentioned is pretty much common knowledge. Chill out . . .
I can live with changing channel outside of Plex but a big thumbs up for this feature - we only leave Plex to watch satellite TV from Australia’s monopoly provider…
