yesterday, I discovered something that made me mad before I discovered how to solve it.
I have all my TV shows in my main series library being equipped with either Plex-side loaded or local theme music (only shows without a theme do not have such).
Usually, I use Chrome browser to maintain my libraries, add local themes to TV shows, etc…
Yesterday, I could see that Plex Web played my theme music, but it was muted…
I unmuted my computer to check… still muted.
I started a YouTube browser tab to play music… worked…
I checked the Chrome tab and all Chrome sound options for that web site (app.plex.tv)… everything fine.
I checked the Chrome sound setting in the Windows sound mixer… all good.
I played the local theme with VLC… all fine.
I checked with another browser (Edge) and it played theme music just fine.
I went nuts.
… only to find out by opening a movie in Chrome Plex Web internal player, that the sound was muted there. Unmuting the movie in the internal player (then stopping the movie and closing the internal player of Plex Web) was also unmuting the theme music playing when navigating my TV show libraries.
In my view, this is a bug (since you do not have any theme music controls in Plex web.
