Hello, I have a SAMSUNG UN75J6300 75" running Plex.
I am on a wireless Bell Fibre Op wireless network.
I am getting the error after 10 min of playing a movie "Plex there seems to be a problem. A network error occurred.
Should I try to run an Ethernet cable directly to the tv?
I use a hardwired connection myself on my Samsung as it is more reliable compared to Wifi.
If you have the availability I would highly recommend you hardwire and see if the error goes away.
I do also use Wifi on a Samsung TV I drag into the backyard sometimes and have seen that error which I attribute to poor network performance on Wifi.
Exact same TV, exact same problem.
Although others have also reported the same problem with other TVs (at least other Samsung TVs) and no resolution as yet.
In my case, the same videos work using Rasperri Pi 3 (both Wireless and Wired), PS3, and PS4.
The Plex App on the TV (in my case Orca’s App, although our TV is Tizen based)
In my specific scenario, my TV is wired.
My setup is as follows:
Plex Server running on a Windows 10 PC (also wired)
Videos sitting on the Windows 10 PC that the server is sitting on play without issue regardless of format/container/etc.
I also have videos sitting on an Unraid box. These are all MP4 files, all 4.1 profile, all AAC/AVC. The files are added to the Plex Server via SMB. These files all exhibit the network error after ~5-10 mins of playing. Pressing play again starts the video where left off for another ~5-10 mins.
Are the files you are having problem with sitting somehwere other than the Plex Server as well?
