I would love to consolidate my music collection to plex, however I rely on Spotify because they have the connect feature that allows me to play music through all our echo devices throughout the property. I can also natively control the sound across all devices from the spotify app. I am able to use my phone’s volume buttons while it is in my pocket to control volume and quickly skip songs. All of this because the iphone recognizes the app as playing and spotify connect is broadcasting to all the echo devices creating filling sound everywhere. I don’t know if it is possible but it would be a great feature to offer someday. thanks
If you have Tidal, just install the Tidal skill. There really isn’t an advantage to using the Plex skill in this case.
The Tidal skill is only available to those in the US atm. I’m hoping that by enabling the Tidal plugin in plex I can then use the plex skill to access Tidal sources through plex.
