if plex is gonna have this then thy must add subtitles plex is used all over the world not having subs makes the future useless in some countrys
Yay, content is starting to show up for on-demand Plex Movies & TV!!! There doesn’t seem to be any subtitles yet. However, I read in the support area for On Demand that subtitles will be available eventually, limited to what the content providers provide to Plex.
Let me just plug for subtitles as they are VERY IMPORTANT in our household, as my partner is hearing impaired and uses English subtitles or “English for the hearing impaired.” We aren’t able to apply online captioning services on these content either.
We look forward to seeing the on-demand library grow and include SUBTITLES for all content that include subtitles. Ideally, we would expect to see all the audio languages and subtitles like you would get if you had the content on DVD to accommodate all Plex users language and captioning needs. Thanks!

Yes, subtitles would be highly desirable. It would be good if the subtitles could be loaded from another source (e.g. from the device with Plex player, or from user Plex server). I assume that these “built-in” subtitles will not be available in “exotic” languages like Czech.
