I have set up the agents to always try to pull meta information in German. Unfortunately, this doesn’t work very well for the trailers.
Currently only about 20% of all movies in my library have a trailer, which is then in German.
Is there any way to set this up so that it takes the trailer in English if none is available in German? Or alternatively, that it just always looks for the trailers in English?
Since Plex is now simply running stable and reliable for years (big praise here), I haven’t adjusted anything in the agents for a long time and now I’m not quite sure how this is set up.
Haven’t been using the legacy agent for some time.
I suppose it’s fair to say that trailer availability for non-English language libraries is… limited. I suppose that’s partly due to Plex using a restricted repository for licensing reasons which simply doesn’t have those.
I believe there used to be some kind of fallback – checking my library right now and it seems Plex is ignoring trailers that are not in the library language
