Plex Docker on LinuxServer.
Playback fails immediately with:
Conversion failed. The transcoder exited due to an error.
Rollback from 1.43.2 to 1.43.1 did not fix it.
Logs show:
videoDecision=copy
audioDecision=transcode
sourceVideoCodec=hevc
sourceAudioCodec=eac3
Error opening input: Invalid argument
Error opening input file /data/movies/…
Plex Transcoder exit code 234.
Hardware transcoding disabled makes no difference.
Subtitles disabled makes no difference.
Database repair and codec rebuild did not fix it.
Same class of error appears in Scanner Credits log:
Could not parse media file, error=-22: Invalid argument.
Also, this issue is occurring for media that worked at one point, but no longer does.
Question:
Why does Plex Transcoder fail opening/parsing this MKV, and is this a known Docker/Linux MKV parser issue?
