Plex tries to keep downloading when out of space

I have a Synology NAS server setup for my MAC and Plex which runs great. Last night I thought I’d put a load of movies on my IPad for my holiday trip.

It started to transcode everything for use and for an hour or so I could see it downloading ok. However, it’s now run out of space on my IPAD but keeps on trying to download.

How can I terminate the rest of the downloading? I’ve looked on the server side, within Plex on my Mac and also on the ipad. Can’t see how to do it

should Plex not automatically stop downloading when it hits max storage capacity or at least ask you to terminate downloaded before continuing?

It continuing to try sounds like an app bug.

The logs (which you can send to yourself as it captures the failure)
can be obtained this way:

You cancel the download(s) from within the app.

  1. Left marin, Scroll down until you see “Downloads”

  2. Tap it and see the active download(s)

  3. Tap & Hold the download job. Slide it left (like you do with email / texts)

  1. Select Cancel
