I am running Plex on FreeNAS too. I don’t think that FreeNAS can mount a foreign network share or that the Plex jail can mount a foreign network share. Your best bet is to check out the FreeNAS/TrueNAS forums.

I agree this is more of a TrueNAS topic.

You can mount a remote share in TrueNAS, and then map the mounted directory into the jail.

NFS is probably simplest. Configure the unRAID server to export the share, making sure the TrueNAS host IP address is permitted.

On the TrueNAS host, in a console:

mkdir /mnt/networkshare (or whatever)
mount -t nfs unraid.ip.add.ress:/path/to/share /mnt/networkshare
ls /mnt/networkshare/

Add that mount command as an Init Script in TrueNAS so it happens on reboot.

Edit the plugin/jail settings. Add a mount point for /mnt/networkshare in the jail.
