Plex TV App Buffering

Good Afternoon,
I’m experiencing an issue where my video pauses at random for 5-20 seconds and then resumes on its own. As if it is buffering. I’ve researched this issue thoroughly, but haven’t found a solution.

My computer is a Alienware laptop with 32GB RAM, i7 6820KH CPU, @ 2.70 2.70. $4k laptop.
Router: TPLink AC1750 and TV is: Samsung 65 Inch 4K Ultra HD Smart TV UN65KS8000F UHD TV

Internet 250MB download / 10MB upload.

I feel like they should easily be able to handle Plex.

Any ideas?

Too many variables involved here to try to figure out what’s going on. Need to see what the PMS log files have to say about it.

What type of media are you trying to stream? What is the bitrates of the media? What containers and codecs? Are you Direct Playing or transcoding?

Or we can just shotgun an answer and say that the reason you’re buffering is due to faulty WiFi signal, or planets aren’t aligned right, or other reasons…

Yeah, without logs it’s a crap shoot… Throw the dice and hope it’s right…

It seems to be happening with all media. It’s really at random.

The logs I attached before had verbose on, please see new logs without verbose. An example of what was happening occurred while playing Harlots S01E01 today at minute 28:15 during playback. The video stops playing, shows the 03 yellow/orange loading dots in the middle of the screen for about 15-30 seconds and then resumes.

Likely a result of the broken direct stream and a mirror of what many other users are seeing with buffering issues. Check out the appletv player section for the buffering thread.
