Running Plex Media Server on Windows 7, with movies on a Synology NAS and LIVE TV/DVR set for local library. Using the HDHomeRun Prime hardwired in at the router.
When I play Live TV via the PMP on the Windows machine directly Live TV works great. As soon as I start to try streaming it to an ATV 4, PMP on macOS, or an iOS device I get a weak signal notice, or it constantly buffers.
Running HDHomeRun’s own app LiveTV streams to these supported device just fine no buffering or anything.
What would cause the weak signal notice in Plex on these apps? It can’t be my network as it is getting 300mbps download on every device. It can’t be the HDHomeRun because it works great on the local server device and through its own app. Is Plex aware of this issue and will they be resolving it soon?
Any suggested Transcoding settings or something to try to alleviate the issue? I just subscribed for Plex Plus, but at the moment it is worthless.
