Plex unable to detect intros after re-install

Hi everyone I recently re-installed plex on my Windows 11 machine. For some reason it will not detect any of the intros after importing my library. How can I get the skip intro feature working again ( I am a plex pass user).

Let’s start with the basics…

  • Have you enabled intro detection on your server (Settings > [Server Name] > Library > Generate intro video markers isn’t set to Never)?
  • Is intro detection enabled for the libraries in question (⋮ > Manage Library > Edit... → Advanced > Enable intro detection)?
  • Have you manually triggered Analyze on a show/season or did your server have a chance to process your videos during its scheduled maintenance tasks?

Yes. In the library settings intro detection was set to generate video markers when data is added as a scheduled task. I changed it to perform as a scheduled task. I’m not sure if that was it.

When I click on the library and click analyze, nothing happens. If I click on a season and select analyze nothing happens. If I click on an episode and analyze, Plex starts detecting intro for the entire season.

My scheduled tasks ran last night, maybe I should let it run another night and see what happens. Is this normal behavior?

If you set it to only run as a scheduled task, it’ll only run during the assigned “maintenance window”.

This is pretty much expected. Analyze will only trigger credits detection on single episodes or movies.
