Plex unable to find local drive

Server Version#: 1.40.2.8395
Using OpenMediaVault 6.0
Docking plex with Yacht
Server runs smooth, but can’t access local mounted drive. The drive is available for all my local network and works perfectly in that way.
I can access plex from roku so I know plex is up and running.

I need your help!
thanks in advance for your time.

Difficult to provide help when all you have provided is that it doesn’t work.

Having said that, in all likelihood your problem is permissions related. I suggest you start looking there.

Plex runs as plex:plex

That said, the best permissions are:

  1. You own the media and directories
  2. Directories have permission 755 (you own, everyone read-only)
  3. Files have permission 644 (you own, everyone read-only)

The ‘find’ command will solve that.

Important point of Linux: Set the 755 permissions on the mount-point directory before mounting. On some distros, that is enough to block it
