How can I remove my NAME from the sidebar menus and the ON DECK
Weird…mine doesn’t display like that?
Is the CHRIS_ROBBINS your default server? I’m wondering if it only does that for your non-default server (like a friend’s server, etc.)
nope the name is PLEXSERVER…
however my login for the plex forum is chris_robbins … hmmmmm
Is this with the latest version that was just released in the last day? I haven’t been home to try that release out yet.
I also have [login name].[server name] on every menu item on the left menu.
it makes the menu very busy and cluttered and I would also like to know how to remove this.
Could it be related to multiple servers?
It has all of a sudden picked up an old server (hidden under “More +” which no longer exists and is offline)
If there is only one server setup for the logged in user there would be no need for the name and server to show on each menu item surely?
I’m seeing this behavior when a secondary family member in the house is logged in. I think Plex shows it for any user that is not the main user, so secondary users and anyone on a shared server. But I haven’t tested that yet.
Anyway, yes that is almost certainly your username if it’s the same one you see on the forum. Go here and it should show you what your username is:
This is not the expected behavior, a definite bug. We have filed an issue internally to fix it. Thanks for the report!
